Who goes from couch to mile and half on there first run? I know that it is not my best time, but for my first run in awhile I’m pleased.  I’m more pleased that I was able to complete this distance more than anything else.

So, I know that Monday’s are supposed to my pulling exercise day, but I worked out with Saul and we decided to do pushing exercises instead.  I started a new supplement today called Full Blown Extreme. It is a combination of creatine and nitric oxide supplement.  So, today I noticed some obvious strength gains in today’s workout.  I am not sure if it was from the supplement itself, or getting stronger, or the placebo effect.  Last week I was only able to do 185 2×10 and 1×8.  Here was my workout today.

Bench- 185 3×10, 1×8

Fly’s- 120 4×10

Incline- 155 1×10, 1×8, 135 1×8

Military- 45 3×10

And other various shoulder and triceps exercises.

First post of the new year.  I did some weight training with Jovon tonight.  It went pretty good.  I feel strong, but I haven’t seen the gains that I’d like to see by now. I’m hoping to do my goal of benching 225 3×10 by the end of the month.  I know I can do it because I’ve done it before.  It’s just getting that muscle memory back.

Saul and I lifted again today.  We went to the 24hr by my house.  We lifted chest and shoulders.  He is about 40lbs stronger than me on flat bench, but he’s been lifting consistently for awhile.  I’ll catch him in about a month or so.

Wednesday is going to be my day off from lifting weights. So tonight all I did was 30min on the elliptical.  It doesn’t feel like I’m doing much when I’m on there, but hey It’s cardio.  I’m going to try to lose the initial 10 to 15 lbs before I really start trying to run again.
